North Texas Bicycle Rally Routes

The North Texas Bicycle Rally and Public Safety Team has updated the Long Route, our "Blue Route" and modified the remaining bicycle routes with the comfort and safety of our cyclists in mind.  We took into consideration the following:

  • Early morning and mid-morning traffic patterns
  • Reduction in average Vehicle traffic speed
  • Improvements in the Public Safety Traffic support model
  • A protected route for children, so they can enjoy the Rally experience
With that in mind, here are the routes for the North Texas Bicycle Rally:

GREEN ROUTE:

This route is short route. It is  for the NOVICE but conditioned cyclist, athletic families and young adults that enjoy a good workout. It is a great introductory route. The route is clearly marked and has excellent Police and Public Safety and Support and Gear (SAG) vehicle support. This route covers the rolling hills of Trophy Club, Westlake and the Solana Technology Complex. A Rest Stop will be provided at 7 miles. Here you will meet the incredible ladies at the "Parrot Club". You are sure to have fun and perhaps get "Lei'd". After some refreshments and a breather, you will continue through the rolling Hills in Trophy Club and onto the Finish line at the Byron Nelson High School.

RED ROUTE:

This route is our mid-range route. It is not for the weak of heart or spirit. This route has some wonderful scenery and some rolling hills that will get your legs burning and your heart rate up. This route includes very smooth concrete and asphalt roads that will take you through Trophy Club, Roanoke, the rural rolling hills in Westlake and then into Keller where you can take a breather at "The Mount" Church. From there you head back into Westlake and then through Southlake into the Solana Technology Complex. There is where you will meet incredible ladies at the "Parrot Club". You are sure to have fun and perhaps get "Lei'd".  From there you will go back into Trophy Club for a ride up the "Three Sisters" hills and onto the Finish line at the Byron Nelson High School.

WHITE ROUTE:

This route is the intermediate route. It is for advanced cyclist. This route has some wonderful scenery and rolling hills that will get your legs burning and your heart rate up. This route includes smooth concrete and asphalt roads that will take you through Trophy Club and Roanoke where you will turn west into Fort Worth and Haslet. There you will head up Blue Mound Road where you will meet "Hill Yeah" and a good coast down into the Alliance Airport. There you will take a hard right into the Alliance Gateway and back into Forth Worth for a rest at the Sun and Ski Schlotsky's Rest Stop. From there it's off into a few rollers through the Roanoke Warehouse district where you get to meet the Pedals Studio "Area 51" Team. We recommend that you take a well deserved rest before you go back into Roanoke for ride on Roanoke Road up to "Heartbreak Hill" and then into the Keller rollers. Once your heart rate slows down, you can take a breather at "The Mount" Church rest stop. At this point you head back into Westlake and then through Southlake into the Solana Technology Complex. At the Larry North Fitness Center, you will meet incredible ladies at the "Parrot Club". Here you are sure to have fun and perhaps get "Lei'd".  The last leg will take you back into Trophy Club for a ride up and down the "Three Sisters" hills and then off for the final sprint to the Finish line at the Byron Nelson High School.  This route is challenging and is recommended for well conditioned Cyclists.
